Stephen Colbert Wags the Finger at Huffington Post (Video)
Comedy Central star Stephen Colbert, host of the “The Colbert Report,” has officially wagged the winger at Arianna Huffington and her wildly successful web site, The Huffington Post.
On his show last night, Colbert poked fun at the Huffington Post’s recent $315 million deal with AOL and took aim at HuffPo for posting so many stories about him on the site; the blog site even has a page solely dedicated to Colbert stories. The comic was referring to how many sites such as the Huffington Post draw traffic by repurposing stories found on other web sites or news outlets.
“You have achieved the impossible – you’ve made me feel angry while looking at pictures of myself!” Colbert exclaimed. “Where’s my money Arianna?! ..Until the Huffington Post pays me for repurposing my content, I’m happy to announce my new web site, the Colbuffingon Re-post. …It’s got everything you love about the Huffington Post because it’s the Huffington Post with a new border around it that says the ‘Colbuffingtonrepost’ and I’m happy to announce the Colbuffingtonrepost is for sale. I will take $316 million dollars.”
