After beating cancer twice and an aneurism(stroke) blood clots during pregnancy, etc. I've had a few bucket lists. Many were lived: Australian trip, Great Britan and Irland, Carribean and Alaska. Now I hope to see Hawaii, Italy and Africa. If we only had money, ugh. I also got to see Barishnikov dance, Bruce Springsteen and a Mozart Opera. Also I got to see my youngest son of 8 children happily married and 2 more grandchildren. Now I'm greedy, I want to see my grandchildren succeed as they grow to adults and I want to see the whole family again but not at one time. Did that last year and want it again. That will include making peace over my daughter's puzzling but adament dislike of me! Oh and I mustn't forget I did diving off the barrier reef, #4 white water rafting, snowmobiling and hiking 5 days in the wild australian outback/Sydney Opera.
Besides the family I really want to see Bret Michaels live, maybe talk with him. I relate to his life and death experiences. Had tickets last month but cancelled due to poor weather. And most of my life I've followed Mia Farrow's life. I so admire her. I'd just die to have a conversation with her…whoops, cancel that last part. I have made it to 70 years, my bucket list was to live to 60, yeah
I call mine the celebration of life life b/c I have survived 7 near death experiences and feel blessed to still be alive. Therefore, I made a list (way before the movie) of all the places and things I would like to do while I can still document and tell friends and family to leave as my legacy. Of course it may be too long to list all but here are some: helicopter tour over my city, write novels, travel to far away places, buy a home,help build homes for habitat, bowl a 300, continue my sports, visit old cities, learn the piano, skydive (already did), skiing, rock climbing, learn the tango and lambada, learn tai chi, go on short and long cruises, start a biz, drive a green car, fly in a blimp,organize family pictures, and create blogs and/or poems about it all…
Here's my bucket List: 1)See the Northern Lights. 2)Take a long train trip to somewhere you can't go in an automobile and sleep on the train. 3) Take a hot air balloon ride. 4) Climb a tall redwood tree and spend the night up there. 5)Ride a zip line. 6) Go to New Zealand and Australia. 7)Finish college.I'm already working on this one. I enrolled in classes this fall and plan on getting the A.A. degree I started working on some 35 years ago.

Having a bucket list and actually living it are two different things. My mom always used to say that there is nothing wrong with dreaming. She's right, but there comes a time in life when dreaming will only get you so far. I was sitting in my room and staring at the large wall Map I have of the world that I bought because I wanted to stare at it and dream of all the places I wanted to see. This year, I'm twenty seven and have decided that I've dreamed enough, it's time to go after those adventures. So I have set a date, I'm taking my sister and brother with me and after we graduate from college roughly March of 214 we are going backpacking through Europe. I have always wanted to do this, and they love a good adventure. There is nothing stopping us, except the money, and it's just money, save it up, and GO. So make a bucket list sure it's fun to dream of all the things you want to do, but don't become Carter from the movie and be at the end of it all, wishing you had actually done some of those things. Life is meant to be lived!
