It may seem like good sense, but the best parenting skills often make for successful management strategies.

“There are an incredible number of connections between those worlds,” Stewart told genConnect. “When you’re a manager or a leader, what you’re really trying to do is get great work out of people for the benefit of the organization. When you’re raising children, you’re trying to create great, future adult human beings.”

“The big difference is that you can’t fire your kids,” Stewart joked. “But in all seriousness, we are, as adults, the kids we used to be at some level.”
