“Glee” star Jane Lynch and author Rosalind Wiseman offer ways parents can communicate with kids on safe cell-phone use, texting
Jane Lynch, one of the stars of the hit FOX show “Glee,” and author and educator Rosalind Wiseman, are on the LG TextEd Council. LGTextEd.com gives resources and skills to parents about how to teach mobile and ethical behavior to kids. Watch Rosalind and Jane talk to genConnect more about this important topic, below:
“I want parents not to freak out. I want them to see this technology is integrated into every part of our lives,” Rosalind said. “It’s not something to judge your neighbor about … it’s about being able to say ‘ok, I’m going to incrementally give my child this freedom.'”
Jane, who calls herself a “reformed texting-while-driving person,” offers a series of funny videos at LGtexted.com which offers little life lessons about safe cell-phone and texting use. “I think it’s a wonderful thing when parents go online and see that. It’s real funny. It’s good stuff.”
