The Seth MacFarlane-hosted Oscars was all the buzz Monday morning, as film lovers and critics chewed over the winners – and the losers – of the 85th Academy Awards, and critiqued MacFarlane’s performance.

Actors Anne Hathaway (Best Supporting Actress, “Les Miserables”) Daniel Day-Lewis (Best Lead Actor, “Lincoln), Ben Affleck (Best Picture, “Argo”), Jennifer Lawrence (Best Lead Actress, “Silver Linings Playbook”), Christoph Waltz (Best Supporting Actor, “Django Unchained”) and director Ang Lee (Directing, Visual Effects, Cinematography and Score, “Life of Pi”) were some of Sunday night’s big winners. Many say Affleck’s win as director of “Argo” was redemption – Affleck was not among those nominated to win best picture; “Argo” also won Academy Awards for editing and adapted screenplay. As one surprise of the night, First Lady Michelle Obama announced “Argo” as the best picture from the White House, and vocal powerhouses Barbra Streisand and Adele gave performances that brought the house down.
