September 11: Interviews With Eyewitnesses and Change Leaders (VIDEOS)

We pause to reflect back to the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001.

We at genConnect.com have had the opportunity to discuss that day and how we have moved forward in the last decade with a variety of people who were there. These include Paul Rieckhoff, who, as a first responder, entered Ground Zero within hours of the fall of the Twin Towers, and current New York City Deputy Mayor Robert Steel, who heads economic development for the city at a time when lower Manhattan undergoes a renaissance.

We also spoke with Michael Chertoff, the former United States Secretary of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush and co-author of the USA PATRIOT Act; Robert Hormats, the Under Secretary for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs; and Joe Klein, the Time Magazine columnist who penned the recent piece on The New Greatest Generation.

Please watch these videos as you reflect on more than a decade of change as a result of 9/11.

At genConnect we are all about connecting people and there may be no event in our lifetimes that has tied all of us together to the extent of 9/11. We all remember where we were the moment the towers tumbled to the ground and we all have feelings that have emerged as a result. Share your comments in the space below …
