Trampolinist Shanelle Landry on Mentoring Young Gymnasts (VIDEO)

World-class trampoline athlete Shanelle Landry, who had been training for a potential spot on the 2012 Summer Olympics team at Elite Trampoline Academy in Red Bank, N.J., also teaches there. Watch Landry discuss training with other Olympic hopefuls and mentoring young gymnasts:

Although Landry won’t be traveling to London this summer for the Olympics, she wants to continue training potential young Olympians of the future.

“I want to give back to the kids what I’ve learned,” Landry said. “I want them to have a lot of fun. It’s a lot of discipline in the sport. I enjoy doing it and I’d like them to be successful.”

The club at which Landry teaches is also home to 2012 London Olympian Steven Gluckstein, and his brother, Jeffrey. Both are trampoline gymnasts but Steven beat out his brother for the sole U.S. men’s trampoline spot going to the Games.
