Shlain’s feature-length film is an exhilarating story about our interpersonal and technological relationships in the 21st century. Equal parts documentary and memoir, the film unfolds during a year in which technology and science literally becomes a matter of life and death for the director.

“The film tackles what it means to be connected in the 21st century both globally and personally. We really want to get people talking,” Shlain told Draper. “We’re moving so quickly and our lives are changing so quickly, it’s the perfect moment to just stop and say, ‘What’s the potential of all these technologies?’ and ‘When is it not good to plug-in?’”
