Good Reads: genConnects Goes to BookExpo America
Looking for a great summer read? Look no further, because genConnect will be covering the largest publishing conference in North America. BookExpo America is in New York City from June 4 to 7, delivering to you the knowledge from publishing experts, authors, booksellers and other industry executives.
Notable speakers include:
- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Neil Young and Patti Smith
- Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Chabon
- Pulitzer Prize winner Junot Díaz
- Actor and comedian Jimmy Fallon
- Newbery Medal winner Lois Lowry
- TV star of Glee and Golden Globe winner Chris Colfer
In addition, BEA will also hold a Bloggers Conference, featuring keynote speaker and author of In Her Shoes Jennifer Weiner. Everyone from food to military bloggers will discuss how to fine-tune the art of blogging and navigate the world of digital publishing.
New this year to BEA is a Global Market Forum on publishing in Russia. With over 40 Russian authors traveling to NYC, the forum will introduce initiatives to bring Russian literature and culture to American readers.
