The U.S. Olympic Women’s Water Polo Team won their fourth straight FINA World League Super Final Gold Medal this week with a 6-4 defeat of Australia in China. American women Maggie Steffens and Annika Dries scored two goals each, while goalkeeper Betsey Armstrong stopped 15 shots from going into the net.
Armstrong, already an Olympic silver medalist, recently spoke to genConnect about her favorite aspect of her sport, what sunscreen she uses and advice for future Olympians. Watch below:
“I love being part of a team, especially now, just being able to do this and train for an Olympic Games. My teammates are my best friends who I turn to in any circumstance, so it’s a very special thing,” Armstrong said.
