Slow Food USA aims to “support good, clean, and fair food.” Prior to joining Slow Food USA, Viertel co-founded and co-directed the Yale Sustainable Food Project at Yale University and also founded Mamabrook Farm, a small organic vegetable farm. Viertel is a Harvard graduate and was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum in 2010.
