Tom Farrey is the author of Game On: The All-American Race to Make Champions of Our Children. In 2007 Farey was recognized as one of the ”100 Most Influential Sports Educators in America” by the Institute for International Sport at the University of Rhode Island. Farrey has worked with ESPN since 1996 and prior to that he was at The Seattle Times. He has won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Sports Journalism. This year Farrey joined the Aspen Institute as the director of the Sports & Society program.
