“It’s been a real pleasure to work with these doctors at Harvard Medical School. They are a terrific group of writers as well as being leading doctors in their professions,” Newmark told genConnect. “They have taken cutting-edge medical advice, the latest research, and explained it so clearly in our books…I didn’t really have to do anything except sit back and enjoy reading it.”

The beauty of the collaboration is that the reader gets the best of both worlds: the personal, relatable stories from Chicken Soup, and the medical research from Harvard to back it up.
“The doctors are not looking for miracles. They give you small, easy steps,” Newmark said. “You can make small steps towards better health, better fitness, a better mindset. You don’t have to go for the home runs. You can go for the singles and you will have incremental progress.”
