It’s a daunting task, we know. But it starts with small substitutions in your diet. Here are a few ideas from DiSpirito:
- Yogurt: “Non-fat greek yogurt can be used in the place of mayonnaise, butter, cream and milk,” DiSpirito said. Turns out that it nearly one tenth of the calories of its fatty counterparts — what a trade-off!
- Sugar: This pesky sweet finds a way to sneak into everyone’s daily diet — but giving it the boot could mean big changes to your overall health. Get rid of sugar this summer. Cut sugar out of your life,” DiSpirito said. “It will probably extend your life expectancy by three to five years and you’ll just drop pounds.
