Jeff Klein is the CEO of Working for Good, a conscious marketing and business development company that promotes programs driving social and environmental change. He is also the author of Working for Good: Making a Difference While Making a Living, suggests we use Earth Day 2012 to truly transform our relationship with Mother Earth.
In the Vedic Chakra System – which describes ‘energy centers’ in the human body – the color of the heart center is green. This center anchors the life force from the higher self, bringing love into our actions.
The bottom line for Earth Day and the foundation for the prospects of transforming our relationship to the Earth – our physical and energetic home – is love. This love begins with love for ourselves, radiates out to others and spreads to — and through — all of the life forms and systems of the planet. When we recognize that all life is connected and inform our actions with this recognition, our relationship to the Earth will shift to a love-based relationship and our actions will be more inclined to affirm life.
So take a few breaths into your heart center and fill yourself with gratitude for the Earth and all that it provides, and affirm life – for yourself and for all!
