Doug French: The first Dad Blogger at BlogHer

Doug French was the first male blogger at BlogHer ’14. He gives genConnect readers valuable advice about being a divorced dad and putting kids first despite family problems.

French talks about being a dad as a two way street as he explains how dads need their kids just as much as a kid needs their dad. He started his blog 11 years ago after being layed off from his job and is now a pioneer in the world of dad blogs. French used to write anonymously because he was a teacher. He recently went public and put his name on the blog,

Not only is French leading the way for dad bloggers, he was also the first male blogger to speak at BlogHer. He says he’s humbled by the experience.

French talks about how he manages his time to keep an eye on all of his web projects as well as continue to practice what he talks about in his blog and be a dad first.
