Donna Shalala Talks About Recent Supreme Court Rulings

The United States Supreme Court has recently made some new rulings that have made history.

The first ruling came out on Thursday, June 25, 2015. The 6-3 ruling was in favor of ObamaCare and ensured that the new federal health care system would continue to provide tax subsidies to lower and middle class citizens.

The second ruling came out on Friday, June 26, 2015. The 5-4 ruling was in favor of same-sex marriage and has now legalized marriage equality in all 50 states. This ruling means that all married couples, both homosexual and heterosexual, in the United States will receive the same legal rights and benefits in all American states and territories.
