About Sean Branagan

Serial entrepreneur, technology marketer, consultant, educator and speaker on marketing, online and digital media and technology startups.

Sean is Director of the Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. He is also CEO and eVangelist of Digital Vertical Marketing, a search and social media marketing firm serving companies in key vertical industries; founder and president of Communigration, Inc, a technology marketing firm working with companies worldwide; and General Partner of C3 Strategic, LLC, a management consulting and venture firm for early-stage tech companies.

A graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Sean is a recognized expert in interactive marketing and has worked with organizations such as Bulova Watches, Cutco Cutlery, The DuPont Registry, Global Marine Systems, Ltd., Lighthouse International, NaviSite, New Era Cap Company, Rack Room Shoes, Syracuse University, Time-Warner/Road Runner, and many others.

Sean believes that Social Media is game-changing and will create winners and losers -- as well as new brand and market leaders for those who are ready to lead.

Personally, I am a husband and father… and most recently, I became a grandfather! I am also a big-time sports fan (Go, Pack. Go! AND Go Orange!), mountain biker, skier, music lover and political wonk. I’m a proud NY/NJ guy, born in Jersey City, commuted to high school in New York City (“Sons of Xavier, keep marching…”), then left for Upstate NY and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. After graduation, I started my businesses and family, and I’m still in Upstate NY, working, teaching, and traveling as often as I can to NYC.
