Ross McLean

Ross loves to help companies build relationships between their audiences and their brands by combining insight into human nature, powerful ideas and technology new and old. As EVP, Group Strategic Planning Director, Ross uses his infectious passion for ideas and his collaborative workstyle to help his clients' businesses and brands be more creative and effective in connecting with people.

Prior to joining Draftfcb in 2000, Ross spent six years at The Richards Group where he led planning on Nortel Networks, Fruit of the Loom, Metro PCS, Cole Haan and Home Depot’s Expo Design Center, to name a few. Ross was instrumental in the agency’s transformation from a regional creative hot shop to a full-service brand management and communications company.

Early in his career, Ross learned the art of strategic brand development from several of its founding fathers while working at Davies Riley-Smith Maclay, and brand planning consultancy The Planning Partnership in London, England. His clients there included Guinness, Lucozade, Coke, Bombay Sapphire and Axe/Lynx.

Born in Vancouver Canada and educated at the University of British Columbia, Ross now lives in Evanston with his wife and two young sons.
