About Douglas Weiser
Douglas Weiser has been a member of the Florida Bar and has been active in several professions since graduating from the University of Miami Law School in 1982.
As Senior Vice President of Development for The Continental Companies from 1993 – 2002, Mr. Weiser was responsible for overseeing the development of the Grand Bay Resort and Residences community, including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Condominium Hotel in Key Biscayne, Florida. Prior to his work in the hospitality industry, he founded and operated a successful real estate brokerage company in Aspen, Colorado.
In the entertainment field, Mr. Weiser is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Writers Guild of America. In 1987, Mr. Weiser co-wrote and co-produced the film, "Midnight Crossing," (Faye Dunaway, Kim Cattrall) and is currently an Executive Producer on "Alter Egos," (Danny Masterson, John Ventimiglia, Kris Lemche), released recently by Phase 4 Films. In 2011, Mr. Weiser produced the independent feature motion picture, "Chapman", starring Jesse Johnson, Chris Masterson and Christine Woods. Chapman has appeared in several U.S. and international film festivals, winning "Best Feature" and "Best Cinematography" honors at the Newport International Festival in Wales, England. Chapman won Best Cinematography honors today at the Sopot Intl Film Fest in Poland. "Chapman" will soon be released theatrically, on digital platforms and on DVD. Mr. Weiser is currently working on another film that is scheduled to begin shooting in New York this spring.
Mr. Weiser is a member of the University of Miami’s President Council, as well as Aspen Country Day School’s Board of Trustees, and continues to serve as a volunteer firefighter in Basalt, Colo.
