About Chris Ovitz

Chris Ovitz is an entrepreneur and has spent the past decade working in Digital Media and Entertainment. Currently, Chris is the Chief Evangelist and Head of Business Development at Viddy Inc., a social mobile video iOS application that has recently been named one of the hottest start-ups in digital media.

Prior to this, Chris spearheaded business development at Ad.ly, another rising LA-based start-up that connects brands with consumers via the social media channels of the most influential celebrities, artists and athletes. From 2005-2007, Chris served as Director of Business Development at Doppelganger, Inc., where he successfully brokered deals with major media and fashion companies to help populate a music and entertainment-based virtual world for teens.

Prior to tech, Chris worked in gaming and entertainment; first at Activision, working on some of the company's biggest titles including Tony Hawks Pro-Skater and Quake 2 and 3 and at Paramount, where he was mentored by John Lesher, who became President of Paramount Film Group during his time there.

Chris holds a B.A. in History from University of California at Los Angeles and an M.B.A. from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.
