Environmental and security expert Sherri Goodman wants her daughter’s generation to help save the world – literally. Goodman, senior vice president of CNA, recently brought her daughter to the Aspen Institute’s Aspen Environment Forum to meet world-class scientists, environmental leaders and other leaders in similar fields, to help hone her interests in this area. Watch Goodman talk about the values that her daughter and others must hold to protect the environment:

“It’s really the next generation that’s going to be the change agent of the future,” Goodman said.

The current and future generations have a huge challenge ahead of them in preserving the environment, and The Aspen Institute and other great organizations are helping those generations gain knowledge about how to go about meeting that challenge and to make the world a better place, Goodman said.

How can today’s younger generation make change? Use their networks, she added.

“They’re networked already so they have to organize real networks that really are going to be transformative. I think they’re well-placed to do so in the Facebook generation and also understanding the impact of old bad practices and how to change them.”
