Tina Brown, founder of The Daily Beast, sat down with genConnect at the Aspen Ideas Festival to talk about her transition from print to web, the differences between the mediums and more.
The web is a place to grow young writers — with its unlimited space (contrary to magazines). When asked by genConnectTV if the Beast is deep, Brown responded that the site is “marinated in knowledge.” “I don’t want ‘navel fluff,” said Brown.
With approximately 5.1 million uniques a month, figures suggest that Brown’s Beast is on the right track.
